1 Million euros for new company restaurant
Press release “Die Glocke” of 31 August 2019
Ennigerloh (ste). More space, better lighting, and better quality: This is how Lorenz Bohle, founder of L.B. Bohle Maschinen und Verfahren GmbH, conceives the new restaurant for his more than 200 employees in Ennigerloh. He is investing about 1 million euros in the building that is to become an eye-catcher on the Industriestrasse premises with its large glass façade. “We have many employees who value special offers,” says the entrepreneur. Since May, lunch has no longer been delivered by a caterer. “We employ a chef. The staff greatly appreciated this.” More staff than ever are now using the company restaurant. “The number of meals has doubled.”
The new chef not only improves lunch quality, but also makes the lunch break more flexible. “While the food was still being delivered from a caterer, the employees had to order their meals a week in advance,” explains Lorenz Bohle. “Now they can choose from three dishes every day.” Customers and guests can also enjoy the new restaurant. Outdoor seating is in the pipeline.
Construction has already begun and is scheduled to be completed in December. The old restaurant had 60 seats on 180 square metres. The new one features more than 80 seats on 300 square metres. “We can double this number, since meals can be offered in two shifts now,” explains Bohle. In the future, meals from Ennigerloh are to be delivered to the Bohle site in Sassenberg as well.
The entrepreneur has new plans for the approximately 30-year-old building where the restaurant is still located. “Space in the middle of the factory grounds has become too valuable for a single-story building.” The building is to be demolished to make space for a two-story building to extend the U-shaped office complex.
